Peak is a cognitive training platform with a difference. Its games, which are built by neuroscientists and psychologists from Yale, Cambridge and other universities, are designed to flex users’ mental muscles. Peak turns the average smartphone into a brain training platform.
Data drives this neuroscientific approach, with every game personalized to build players’ skills as efficiently as possible, and the sophisticated normalization of scores to help players compare progress with their friends.
Challenge
To continually optimize the user experience, Peak pushes out new releases every two weeks, with up to 10 features in test mode at any one time. And, to better measure the success of these features, they needed a way to run A/B tests using customizable events and schemas.
Solution
To get what they needed, Peak turned to Snowplow. Using Snowplow’s flexible schema technology, Peak can easily track A/B tests to accurately assess the impact of new features. They define success criteria (and associated metrics) ahead of the feature test—if successful, the feature is rolled out across the rest of the user base. If not, it is rolled back.
