An agentic browser is a web browser that embeds AI agents capable of autonomously navigating websites, interpreting content, filling out forms, and completing tasks on behalf of users. Rather than relying on manual clicks and navigation, agentic browsers execute multi-step workflows based on natural language instructions using large language models.
From a measurement perspective, this introduces a new class of web interaction where actions are executed by a bot, even though they originate from a human goal. Identifying and responding to this behavior requires analytics infrastructure that can distinguish agent-driven activity from human interaction at the event level, which is something traditional analytics tools like Google Analytics were not designed to do.
